The press service of the Parliament of Abkhazia commented the statements of Konstantin Zatulin
Sukhum. March 14. Apsnypress. The statement of the press service of the People's Assembly of the Parliament of the Republic of Abkhazia says:
"During the parliamentary elections held in the Republic of Abkhazia on March 12, Deputy of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee for the Commonwealth of Independent States, Eurasian Integration and Relations with Compatriots Konstantin Zatulin, who arrived in Abkhazia as part of a delegation of international observers , made a number of comments on various aspects of the current legislation of the Republic of Abkhazia and the development of contractual relations between the Republic of Abkhazia and the Russian Federation.
We believe that on the part of the international observer, called upon to assess the course of the electoral process it was incorrect to speak on the issues of domestic and foreign policy of the Republic of Abkhazia, the competence of which relates to the sovereignty of the Republic of Abkhazia. The deputies of the People's Assembly of the Parliament of the Republic of Abkhazia built their legislative work on the basis of the interests of the people of Abkhazia, the construction of an independent Abkhazian state, and never adopted laws dictated by someone from outside. At the same time, it must be emphasized that the Republic of Abkhazia strictly observes the Treaty between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Abkhazia on the Alliance and Strategic Partnership signed by the Presidents of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Abkhazia in 2014, and we are ready to discuss further deepening of relations with the Russian Federation, including in Lawmaking activity".
