The meeting was held in Sochi.

Sukhum. April 2. Apsnypress. There was held a meeting on the implementation of Agreement on compulsory health insurance of citizens of the Russian Federation permanently residing in the Republic of Abkhazia, in medical institutions of the Krasnodar Territory. The Abkhaz delegation at the talks was headed by Minister of Health of the Republic of Abkhazia Tamaz Tsakhnakiya. The Russian side was represented by a delegation led by Assistant Minister of Health of the Russian Federation Anatoly Gulin. The press service of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Abkhazia reported.

Following the meeting, Tamaz Tsakhnakia noted: “We discussed current issues related to the organization of the OMS for our citizens, as well as all the provisions noted in the Agreement with the Krasnodar Territory, confirmed the need for joint work between the medical institutions of Abkhazia and the Krasnodar Territory, and agreed that will create a joint working group. In addition, our Ministry of Health will include the events designated today in the work plans. The most important thing for us is to provide our patients with specialized, including high-tech, medical care in medical and preventive treatment facilities, primarily in the Krasnodar Territory. We also discussed other issues of bilateral cooperation and found complete understanding with our colleagues, ” - said Tsakhnakiya.

The Minister stressed that this is the first joint project of this kind. “For the Russian Federation, this is also the first experience when the MHI system went beyond the framework of the Russian Federation in relation to its citizens living in the territory of another state. Therefore, there are certain issues that we must resolve in working order. And later, I think, all issues related to the organization of medical care will be settled, ” - concluded Tsakhnakiya.

For his part, the Minister of Health of the Krasnodar Territory, Yevgeny Filippov, thanked his colleagues for their productive work: “Together, I think, the Ministry of Health of the Krasnodar Region and the Ministry of Health of Abkhazia will develop a common tactic for providing medical care to patients.”

At the same time, Anatoly Gulin noted that a plan of joint measures to provide medical assistance to Russian citizens permanently residing in Abkhazia has already been outlined: “There are certain problems that we discussed today. I think that within the framework of this discussion we will have a closer dialogue, in this case, between the Republic of Abkhazia and the Krasnodar Territory. The joint work is planned, the Krasnodar colleagues will travel to Abkhazia, the Abkhaz will come to the bases of medical institutions of the Krasnodar Territory. All this will serve a more qualitative and productive work in rendering medical assistance to citizens who apply to medical institutions of the Russian Federation, and in this case the Krasnodar Territory, ” - said Anatoly Gulin.
